Openfest! Mainstage Lineup
Habitate's offices are one block off SE Division Street and, as you can imagine, we are super excited to see the end of the eighteen month streetscape construction on Division.
To celebrate and commemorate, local business leaders and the City are getting together at Openfest! this Friday, October 24th from 10AM-9PM.
This one day celebration happens up and down Division Street and is hosted by the Division/Clinton Business Association and the City of Portland. Habitate is proud to be involved with this celebration and be a sponsor of this event, and to do our part to celebrate the diverse mix of small local businesses and retailers up and down our Division.
Businesses will be hosting specials & events to celebrate this day, and a ribbon cutting with City Officials will be held at 10AM at 31st & SE Division.
More information at: Openfest.
At Habitate we are really interested in the Mainstage lineup planned (at 31st SE Division). There is a great mix of free family friendly music, starting with a puppet show and moving into the evening with Skybound Blue & Love Gigantic. Here is more information:
3:30PM Red Yarn is a dynamic family performer who weaves folksongs and puppetry into engaging shows for all ages. With his energetic performances and lush folk-rock recordings, this red-bearded bard shares positive values while reinvigorating American folklore for younger generations.
5PM Skybound Blue: Harmony-driven, foot-stomping, dig deep and tell the story in your bones kind of music. Skybound Blue is fronted by married duo Matt and Jenny Behnke. With mesmerizing chemistry and honest songwriting Skybound Blue weaves their story of life-and-death adversity, adventure, and the truest of love.
6PM Love Gigantic: Soulful, folk rock. The perfect sound for these lingering fall evenings. Lead by singer and songwriter Sarah King, she is joined by joined by guitarist Chet Lyster (Lucinda Williams, Eels); guitarist David Langenes (Pete Krebs’ Portland Playboys, the Stolen Sweets); keyboardist Lara Michell (the Stolen Sweets, Dirty Martini); bassist Arthur Parker (Trashcan Joe); and drummer Joe Mengis (Climber). (Did I mention it is free?)
Hope to see you there!
